Bill Robertson - Luncheon 30 August 2016

Bob Charley AO Tripe Club Victoria

Bill Robertson was greatly enjoyed by our members, as he recounted stories from his successful career in Victoria Police rising from Junior Police Trainee to Assistant Commissioner.  During his thirty-six-years of policing he experienced both metropolitan and country stations in addition to several specialist positions, including staff officer to former Chief Commissioner, Mick Miller.

As an Assistant Commissioner he held three portfolios including Research and Development, Personnel and Training.  He attended the prestigious UK Senior Command Course at Bramshill, a six month residential and was later selected as Team Leader for two major police training reviews.  The first for Ausaid, involving Fiji, the second for the Northern Territory.

He retired from the Force in 1996 to follow a diverse pathway as consultant, hobby farmer, research assistant, policy writer and building inspector.  These days he spends time researching and writing crime novels and shared his research process for recently published second book, Fox., which followed No Witness, No Case.
